As a family, we have been clients of Ideal Dental, and Dr Vincent Lau since 2002. Our daughter, aged 2 was the first to visit ‘Dr Vincent’ and his warmth and professionalism confirmed that we had found our ideal (#seewhatididthere) family dentist. Since then, we have our bi annual family visit every January and July, with strenuous flossing occurring in the week leading up to each visit as that is Dr Lau’s catch cry “how’s your flossing going”, and as a family we can say “great”…if only he knew 🙂 We would not go anywhere else, from the friendly greeting at reception, the cleanliness and modern surrounds to the plasma on the ceiling to watch TV whilst Dr Lau does his work, you would be hard pressed to find a better dentist. Oh, did I mention the WII that you can play while you wait your turn? I think the best thing about Dr Lau, is his kindness and gentleness, an important factor when facing a needle.

My family and I have been going to Vincent for more than 8 years and I cannot speak highly enough of both Vincent and all the staff at Ideal Dental. It’s a very family friendly practice and that was one of the first reasons we went there. Vincent was initially recommended to us by a friend as a good dentist who was really good at dealing with kids, and they were right on both accounts. Vincent, having kids of his own, shows an obvious understanding and patience with kids. He explains things to them really well, and makes sure they are at ease throughout the whole visit. Also, I once spoke with an experienced and highly respected Specialist Orthodontist who described Vincent’s dental work as technically excellent, and I personally have always been happy with Vincent’s work. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Vincent and all the staff at Ideal Dental.

Ideal Dental is the best family dental practice in all of Sydney. Vincent and his team have been looking after all of my family including my husband and four children as well as my mum, dad and 95 year old Grandmother for 10 years now. Vincent is so kind, gentle and patient with the children they actually look forward to going to see him. We first visited Vincent when my daughter was 5 and needed a tooth removed that had gotten infected – he was amazing! She was so fearful yet he worked calmly and gently and it was all over in minutes without any tears! The patience, kindness and professionalism that Vincent showed whilst fitting dentures for my 95 year old Grandmother with dementia will never be forgotten. She was not an easy patient yet he looked after her with respect and kindness – just another example of what a wonderful person and dentist Vincent is.

Moving to a new area, having a fear of dentists and having 2 young children – I had to find a new dentist. I rang Ideal Dental , Oatley, and nervously made an appointment with Dr Vincent Lau – that was 15 years ago and the best decision I ever made. Over the years our visits to Ideal have been nothing but a positive experience – “The Girls” are always welcoming and friendly and Dr Vincent is the most caring, professional and honest dentist ever!!! Because of the outstanding service they all give – my children and I actually look forward to our 6 monthly check ups!

Our family has been attending Ideal Dental for 15 years. During this time we have found Dr Vincent Lau and his staff to be courteous and professional and his work place immaculate. Our two young children frequent Ideal Dental every 6 months for check ups and teeth cleaning and Dr Vincent always makes them feel comfortable and is very gentle. His dental nurses are excellent. We have no hesitation in giving Ideal Dental and Dr Vincent our highest recommendation.

I regard Dr Lau’s professional competency at the highest level, he always gives a clear explanation of treatment options and procedures and has good follow up post treatment. However it is his ability to implement this skill in a personable and friendly manner that sets this practise apart. My wife and daughter both suffer anxiety in visiting a dentist but Dr Lau’s gentle and caring approach allows them to receive treatment without any cares or concerns. His staff are always helpful and friendly to deal which makes the whole experience such a positive one. It is this approach especially with my children that motives me to travel some distance to ensure they continue to receive such professional and outstanding care. I highly recommend the Dental services of Dr Lau.
